Gorgeous glasses to celebrate the season of love this summer!

Hurrah for the start of Summer and the month of June. We don’t know about you, but we’re loving this warmer weather that June is bringing. But – did you know – the name ‘June’ is derived from ‘Juno’ the goddess of marriage? So, given that the sun is shining and summer brides are seeing swathes of lovely weather for their big days, it seems only fitting that we write a blog during the month of June, dedicated to all things ‘I Do’!

Whether you’re getting married this month or are planning a hen party, an artisan wine glass from American glassware designer Lolita is a must for any celebration. In fact, there’s never been a better reason to raise a glass and have an excuse to party, because the inspiration for her gorgeous glasses was originally inspired by the woman herself, following a girl’s night out!

For the hen party:

Why not take a look at Bride Tribe? Measuring 22.5cm tall, this gorgeous new glass is perfect for getting the girls together and raising a glass to the soon-to-be-mrs, to get the party started at any hen do celebrations. With beautiful rose petal detailing working its way up the stem of the glass in lovely shades of pinks and peaches, the flowers form a gorgeous background to showcase a larger-than-life diamond engagement ring on the body of the glass, with the words Bride Tribe written across the centre.

But of course, don’t forget the matriarch of the group! Perhaps she’s your gal-pal’s social secretary and is the one always organising the fun, maybe it’s the Chief Bridesmaid keeping all of the hens in check, or perhaps the head honcho of your hen party celebrations is the Mother of the Bride herself. If so, help her to stand out from the crowd with our gorgeous Queen Bee Glass by Lolita – it’ll certainly bring a ‘buzz’ to your celebrations. With its intricate hand-painted design and delicate placement of bling detailing, this stemless glass features a black and shimmering gold bee, with its wings spread wide and complete with a dazzling crown on top of her head – just like the royalty she is!

Plus, it’s summer solstice on 20th June 2023, meaning more lovely longer summer days. What better reason to let the hen party celebrations roll on into the night and enjoy your favourite drink or two while the sun still shines!

The morning of the Big Day:

Of course, come the morning of the big day as your bride-to-be is preparing to go from Miss to Mrs, you’re going to want to raise a toast to the happy couple. So, while surrounded by her mum, bridesmaids and other special people from the wedding party, why not celebrate love with this gorgeous glass? Named My-Hearts-A-Swirl, it features gorgeous little love hearts in sweet shades of teal, yellows and blush pinks working their way up the stem of the glass, increasing in size until they swell into a swirling large love heart, complete with lilac details and purple-toned jewels in the centre of the vessel.

Or, why not use a gorgeous glass from Lolita as part of your wedding breakfast celebrations? Pop the cork and lift a glass to toast ever-lasting love and a happily ever after, with this wonderful Love Wine Glass. Presented in a beautiful pink tone with pretty floral blooms all over the vessel of the glass, the word ‘Love’ is written across the middle of it in a lovely cursive font. If you’re going for a floral theme or pink colour palette for your wedding, we think this Love Wine Glass would double up as a stunning piece of table décor too. Use it to line the top table and fill it with your favours for guests to enjoy – not only is the glass perfectly practical for the toast, but it’s also a lovely keepsake for your wedding party and guests as a reminder of a very special day.

For the alternative bride:

If you’re ready to pop the cork on a bottle to get your wedding really rocking, but the lovey-dovey hearts, florals and pink pastel colour palette isn’t really your thing (maybe you consider yourself to be more of an alternative bride), then you’re going to want to take a look at Bride of Corkenstein. Featuring the face of a green female Frankenstein, with big bolts in her neck, arms in the air and mouth aghast at her empty glass, this frightfully fun and funky glass from Designs by Lolita will very much be a brilliant conversation starter at any hen party or wedding day celebration!

A different tipple or two:

If your bride or bridal party aren’t fans of a glass of vino or two and prefer something different, don’t worry! Lolita has you covered… Take a look at the simply stunning Dragonfly Gin Glass. Whimsical and carefree, this glass features a lovely little blue-winged dragonfly floating amongst the flora and fauna – ideal for a lovely summer evening wedding reception!

Or, to really up the bling with a glitz and glam wedding, take a look at the Let’s Celebrate Prosecco Glass. This super glittery prosecco glass features fireworks exploding across the vessel in shades of silver and gold. We can just picture it now – as the evening reception draws to a close, the wedding party make their way outside, glass in hand full of their favourite fizz to watch a personalised fireworks display, helping their wedding night and happily ever after – quite literally – go off with a bang!

With lots of summer weddings in the pipeline, the bright and joyful designs of Lolita’s signature style are simply ideal for bridal showers and hen parties, for raising a toast while the bride-to-be is getting ready, and as part of the wedding décor throughout your special day.

Don’t forget, all of Lolita’s wine glasses feature a signature cocktail recipe on the bottom of each glass and are presented in a lovely branded gift box, also making them the perfect present for the happy couple to enjoy once their honeymoon is over, as they celebrate their love this summer and beyond!
